Harvey was the second son of Robert C. and Mary (Dale) Braden. He was a farmer in Jackson Twp. of Keokuk Co., IA. He married on Mar. 17, 1901 in Jefferson Co., IA, as his second wife, Emma Sutton. Three children, James, Charles and Joanna Braden were born to this union. That the boys were said to have been born in ND, indicates that these Bradens lived in that state at least a few years.
