Interesting to note that Alice is listed in the 1900 Fresno, CA census with her 3 children (Harry, Alfred, & Douglas) and then these same 3 children are also listed by themselves in the Tacoma, Pierce Co., WA census at 1424 N Alder with a family who ran a school (boarding house) for mostly foundling children and orphans. But, their mother was still living in 1900.
