GREENSORO— Mrs. Doris Causey Allen, 88, died Saturday, August 25, 2007 at Piedmont Crossing of Thomasville.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Forbis and Dick Guilford Chapel. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park.
Mrs. Allen grew up in Washington, N.C. but later moved to Greensboro where she worked 25 years for the Social Security Administration. Mrs. Allen was a member of Peace United Church of Christ and loved to play bridge. She was a loving mother and caregiver to all whom she knew.
Mrs. Allen is survived by one son, Philip C. Allen and his wife Carmen of High Point; and one sister, Angie Owens of Portsmouth, Va. She was preceded in death by her son, James H. Allen III and her husband, James H. Allen Jr.
