Larry Cordell Bradford, 73, of Joshua passed away Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday in Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park in Fort Worth. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Huguley Community Hospice, Samaritan's Purse or other Christian charities. Larry was born Aug. 21, 1938, in Johnson County to Cordell and Pearl Christena Watters Bradford. He married Minnie Walker on Dec. 25, 1961, in Rainbow. Larry proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Larry loved storytelling, fixing things and helping people. He served as a deacon at his church for over 35 years. Larry retired from the Burleson ISD as a teacher in 1994. Survivors: Wife, Minnie Bradford of Joshua; son, Troy Bradford of Lewisville; daughter, Tiffany Fojtasek and husband, Brian, of Joshua; brother, Charles Bradford and wife, Lynn, of Cleburne; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
