Kathleen Lenore Bacon
Septmber 13, 1929 - November 29, 2011
Kathleen entered heavens gates from Albany, Oregon, on November 29, 2011. She was born September 13, 1929, in Bend, Oregon, to Verne and Cecile Skelton. She graduated from Redmond Union High School in 1946.
Kathleen married William (Bill) Bacon on November 13, 1948 in Cloverdale, (4 miles east of Sisters) Oregon, and was married for 37 years until he went home to be with the Lord.
Kathleen was born, raised and lived on a farm in the Sisters, Oregon, area. She raised her family while working on the farm and ranch. Her greatest joy was serving others through several Christian Churches in the central Oregon area. Her deep abiding faith in her Lord Jesus Christ marked her life and everyone around her. She loved gardening, sewing and, most of all, caring for her family. Kathleen devoted her life to her husband Bill, children and grandchildren.
Kathleen is survived by her three children; Mike Bacon of Olympia, Washington, Connie Bevandich of Philomath, Oregon, Bill Bacon of Pendleton, Oregon, as well as her brother Bob Skelton of Dallas, Texas, 7 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband Bill, her parents and grandson Shon Bacon.
A Celebration of Life will be held graveside Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 11:00AM at Redmond Memorial Cemetery in Redmond, Oregon.
