Smokey was one of the best dogs I ever owned, he was a true friend and was always there when I needed him. He was given to me when he was a puppy on my twelfth birthday from my brother and his wife, we were best buds from the start and remained that way until he died. My fondest memory of him was the way he seemed he was always trying to talk, and I swear you could hear a word or two now and then. He passed on just before his tenth birthday, I will always miss him and the joy he brought me all those year.
