He attended Rossville schools and the Chicago School of Fine Arts.
Mr. Cadle was known for his oil painting and pencil sketching and painting and sketching scenes from his life. He was the owner of Cadle Trucking and raised Charolais cattle. John was still farming when he became ill last week.
He was a member of the Rossville United Methodist Church, the Vermilion County Farm Bureau, a charter member of the Hopeston/Rossville Historical Society and a member of the Farmer's Breakfast Club.
He is survived by first cousins, Mrs. Elizabeth James, Don and Dan Bush and very dear friends, the Ingram family.
