A Chehalis resident, Bollick Cerkan, 91, died Tuesday at a Centrailia nursing home following a brief illness.
He was born January 1, 1882, in Poland and had been a Chehalis resident for the past six years, moving from Pe Ell, where he had lived since 1901.
Mr Cerkan was a longtime logger in the Willapa Harbor area prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Polish National Alliance and had attended St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Pe Ell.
Survivors include four sons, Stanley Cerkan and Frank Cerkan, both of Pe Ell; Peter Cerkan, Chehalis, and Charlie Cerkan of Lebam, nine grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Pe Ell, WA with the Rev. August Banasky officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of the new Sticklin Funeral Chapel.
