Ruidoso - Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Mescalero Baptist Mission for Elwood Martin Urch, 82, of Alamogordo, who died Sunday at the Betty Dare Good Samaritan Center in Alamogordo. The Rev. Bernard Dougharty, area evangelist and the Rev. Mike Bush of the First Baptist Church of Ruidoso Downs will officiate. Burial will be at the Schuylkill Memorial Park in North Manheim Township, Pa. Arrangements are being handled by LaGrone Funeral Chapel of Ruidoso. Mr. Urch was born on April 22,1906, in Pottsville. Pa., to Mr. and Mrs. William Watkins Urch, both now deceased. He was married June 4, 1929, to Sunbury. Pa., to Alice Dando, who survives him. An Alamogordo resident for three years, Urch was a retired salesman for Sears. He Was a Gideon. Urch was preceded in death by one son, James Elwood Urch in 1947. Survivors Include one daughter, Joan Alice Huse of Mescalero; one nephew. William Urch of Pottsville; two nieces, Emily Bruen and Sarah Brawer, botn of Pottsville; two grand-daughters; eight step-granddaughters; one step-grandson; one great-grandson; and 11 step-great-grandchildren.
