Charles Aberle, 52, a Madison fireman for nearly 22 years, died suddenly Tuesday, at his home in Madison.

Mr. Aberle joined the fire department in 1932 and would have been eligible to retire on half-pay pension next June 15. He served at No. 7 fire station at 2410 Monroe St.

He and Mrs. Aberle, the former Lydia Nyhus, were married three months ago.

Surviving besides his wife, daughter, Mrs. Lila Marie Hartzler, Santa Monica, CA.; brothers, Leo and Max, Westport, and sisters, Mrs. Marie Osbourne, Mrs. Fred Wilhelm and Mrs. Helen Majestic and Mrs. Wilbur Hammond, Los Angeles, CA.

Funeral services will be held at Fitch-Lawrence funeral home.
Burial will be in Forest Hill cemetery.
