Kathleen Joann Clater was born July 5, 1954. She was the daughter of Corliss and Joann (Cronk) Gilchrist. She grew up in Des Moines and graduated from East High School in 1972. On November 3, 1973 she was united in marriage to Ronald Dale Clater. The couple was blessed with two children, William and Angela.
Kathleen enjoyed reading, photography, pulling pranks on people, and going on fishing trips with the family. Most of all she loved spending time with Ron, her children, and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Ronald; children, William Cory (Katie) Clater and Angela (Jason) White; grandchildren, Matthew, Gavin, Breanna, Gillian, and Gage; father, Corliss Gilchrist; and sister, Judith Teachout. She was preceded in death by her mother, Joann Gilchrist. She will be dearly missed by anyone she had the pleasure of knowing.
