Ernest Eugene Craig, 43, of Paducah passed away at 9 p.m. Wednesday at his residence.
Mr. Craig was a corrections officer at Kentucky State Penitentiary and a retired U.S. Army Reserve staff sergeant, as well as a lifelong member of First Christian Church of Paducah.
He is survived by his son, Chandler James Craig of Calvert City; his father, James A. Craig of Paducah; one brother, Allen R. Craig of Tullahoma, Tenn.; and one sister, Beverly J. Craig of Paducah; three nephews, John Craig of Henning, Tenn., James Berry of Paducah, Madison Berry of Paducah; and a great-niece, Savannah Ruth Craig of Tullahoma, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Huddleston Craig.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at First Christian Church, with the Rev. Jae Gottman officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Kenton Cemetery.
Visitation was from 5 p.m.–8 p.m. Monday at Lindsey Funeral Home, and 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Tuesday at First Christian Church.
