Agnes Lounell Johnson, 81, of Chuckey, died Wednesday at Laughlin Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Johnson was the widow of Earnest "Bud" Johnson, her husband of 63 years who died July 15, 2008. She was a daughter of the late Johnny and Hassie Gosnell.
Survivors include three daughters and their husbands: Agnes Correll of Mosheim, Shirley and Hubert Dean of Midway, and Rita and Robert Trusty of Greeneville; five sons and their wives: Donnie and Debbie Johnson of Chuckey, Earnest Johnson Jr. of Midway, Gary Johnson of Chuckey, Rickey and Lisa Johnson of Greeneville and John and Hanna Johnson of Mosheim; her grandchildren: Roy Johnson, Jeff Johnson, Billy Correll, Lisa Cutshall, Frankie Ricker, Lori Ricker, Becky Farley, Bob Trusty, Michele Dotson, Donnie Johnson Jr., Josh Johnson, Cody Johnson, Christian Johnson, Jarrod Johnson, and Lacy Johnson all of Greene County, Christy Fowler of Mars Hill, N.C., Cassandra Johnson and Veronica Johnson, both of Bristol, Keith Holbrook Johnson, Charles Holbrook Johnson, David Dean, Timmy Dean, and Sherry Dean; and several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Nancy Cutshall; two grandchildren: Brandi Johnson and Dylan Johnson; and a son: Jackie Whitson Jr.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at Jeffers Funeral & Cremation Service.
The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Jay Hugh Jennings will officiate.
Interment will be in River Hill Cemetery.
Her grandsons will be pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be the nursing staff of 4-West of Laughlin Memorial Hospital and Dr. Charles Montgomery
