Adele was born in Lecompton, Kansas to George and Margaret. She was their first child. Their stone house, built in 1861, still stands on a hill near the Prairie City townsite. On December 5, 1883, Adele was married to Frank X. Jardon, also of Prairie City, by Rev A.G. Sawin.

Adele passed away in April of 1889.
