Agnes L. (Calaman) Aldinger, 90, of Seven Valleys, passed away at her residence on Friday, February 10, 2012. She was the wife of Paul E. Aldinger, Sr. of Seven Valleys, with whom she celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on March 21, 2011.

Mrs. Aldinger was born in Waynesboro on February 24, 1921, daughter of the late Otha and Ida (Calamer) Calaman.

She was a member of St. Jacobs Evangelical Lutheran Church, York New Salem. Agnes's joys in life were her grandchildren, flowers and cooking.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, Nancy L. Lint and her husband, Kenneth; Paul E. Aldinger, Jr. and his wife, Winafred; Darlene M. Rutters and her husband, Jeffrey; Dean R. Aldinger and his wife, Joan, all of Seven Valleys, 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth P. Messersmith; a sister, Ruth Altland; and five brothers, Chancey, Walter, Charles, Richard and Clair Calaman.

Funeral service has been scheduled for Thursday, February 16, 2012, at 1 p.m. from St. Jacobs Evangelical Lutheran Church, 99 E. George St., York New Salem. Officiating will be Pastor Lisa Hair.

Final resting place will be in St. Jacob's Union Cemetery, York New Salem.

There will be viewings Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the LeRoy R. Leber Funeral Home, Inc., 2290 School St., York (Shiloh) and Thursday from 12 to 1 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
