Miss Veal was a native of Washington County and made her home in Milledgeville where she was a 1942 graduate of Midway High School. She worked and managed Roses Department Store for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents William West and Myrtice Burgamy Veal and her brothers Coleman and Adrian Veal. She was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Joyce Lemon of Greensboro and Myrtle V. Graci of Columbus, and 8 nieces and nephews.
