Bandleader. Leader of the Alvino Rey Orchestra, he was a pedal steel guitarist who originated the singing sound of the electrified instrument. He was married to Luise King and was long known for his association with the Four King Sisters both on his recordings and their TV show, scoring several top 10 hits in the 1940s.
