Karen M. Poulsen Brown died September 9, 1996 in Salt Lake City.
Born September 29, 1946 in Payson, Utah to Carl E. and Marie Rivers Poulsen. Married Hal Brown in the Salt Lake LDS Temple November 2, 1973. Karen was active in the LDS Church, serving in many capacities including Primary President, Relief Society President, Stake Relief Society President, and Sister Friendly. Her favorite calling was that of Primary teacher.
She worked as a registered nurse at Primary Children's Medical Center for 25 years.
Karen was an extremely wonderful, loving person, touching the hearts of many with both her love and her laughter. We will miss her, but look forward to seeing her again once our earthly journeys are completed.
Survived by husband, Hal; children, Ryan; Nathan (presently serving an LDS Mission in Italy); Heather and Philip; mother, Marie (Ree) Poulsen; brothers and sister, Richard Poulsen; Robert Poulsen and wife Jane; and Grethe Hurst and husband Evan. Preceded in death by her father.
Funeral services Thursday, September 12, 1 p.m., in the West Jordan River 4th LDS Ward Chapel, 1380 West 6785 South. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Wednesday 6-8 p.m. and at the ward Thursday one hour prior to services. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates.
