He was born on April 3, 1954 to the proud parents, Mattie Lou Jordan and Curtis Evans in Wichita, Kansas. He was the third child of seven children born from this union, as well as the first son.
Reginald was baptized at an early age at the North Peoria Church of Christ by Brother A. C. Christman.
He attended Tulsa Public Schools, after which at the age of 17, he enlisted in the United States Army.
Better known as "Boo" to family and friends, he received this nickname by his two older sisters, trying to say "Baby Bruce."
He was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Evans, two sisters, Robin Kay Evans and Cheryl Denise Harbert, a nephew, Marc De'yhan Williams, his maternal and paternal grandparents, two step-brothers, Vernon Billups, Jr., and Murphy Billups, as well as uncles, aunts and cousins.
He leaves to cherish his memory; his mother and step-father; three sisters; a brother; an adopted brother, who truly loved him; two step-sisters; his ex-wife; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
The final hour with Mr. Evans will be on Friday, February 10, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. in the All Faith's Chapel at the funeral home in Tulsa. Brother Henry Petree will officiate. Burial will follow in the Snake Creek Cemetery in Bixby.
