During her early childhood, she moved to Bronson, MN with her parents, where she grew to maturity. At the age of 20, she came to Centerville SD which was her home until her death. For the past six years, she has been a resident of the Good Samaritan Home in Centerville SD.
She was married on Feb 22, 1917, to Conrad Knudson. To this union, six children were born.
Mrs Knudson ws a member of the Scandia Lutheran Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher for 30 years and where she also served as president of the Ladies Aid.
Mrs. Knudson is survived by five sons: Clifford of Portland OR; Berdell and Boyd of Centerville SD; Rev Kalmer Knudson of Genoa City, ND; one daughter, Rosalie (Mrs Ray Nelson) of Vermillion; two sisters, Mrs B.C.Heinze of Rosholt, SD, and Mrs Ida Smith of Minneapolis; 24 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband and one sister.
Services were held at the Scandia Lutheran Church at 2pm with Pator Arthur Grorud officiating. A ladies quartet composed of Mrs Vandal Oakland, Mrs Ellsworth Edman, Mrs Ronnis Lounsberry, and Mrs Marilyn Edman sang two selections. Mrs John Basgaard was the organist.
Interment was in the Riverview Cemetery. Casket bearers were Doyle Knudson, Galen Nelson, Dale Knudson, DeLee Knudson, Kenton Knudson, and Kevin Knudson.
