Albert Llewellyn McElhiney passed away at the age of 72 at Elko General Hospital. He was born the youngest of five children. At age 3, he and his family moved to Grand Junction, CO. In 1945, he joined the service and was sent to Japan, where he served until 1946. He worked on ranches in Colorado and Nevada for eight years, then was employed as a ranger in the Humboldt National Forest until retiring. He married Velma Hietta Llewellyn in 1962 and lived for many years in Lamoille. Due to illness, he spent his final years at the Heritage Rehabilitation Center. He is survived by his wife, Velma of Elko, stepson, Robert Llewellyn of California; stepdaughter, Sandra Taylor of Elko; brothers, Gene McElhiney of Colorado Springs; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
