Douglas Lee Hill, was born on February 28, 1958, in Columbus, Indiana, to Charles Leland and Nina Gayle (Skaggs) Hill. He died Sunday, February 5, 2012, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 53 years. He was a graduate of McAllen High School and attended Pan American University and Texas Tech, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree. Douglas was married on November 27, 1987, to Cathleen Marie Coco, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was an electrical engineer working as a technical superintendent with the Grand River Dam Authority. He enjoyed a variety of pastimes including all sports, shooting, hunting, fishing, gardening, and carpentry work. He was an avid volunteer with St. Therese Catholic Church, St. Henry Catholic Church, Catholic Charities, Boy Scouts, Knights of Columbus, and in various capacities in his boys' schools. Loving family members include his wife, Cathleen of the home; sons, John Lee Hill of the home and PV2 Anthony Hill and his wife, Kelsey, of Fort Bragg, North Carolina; brothers, Allan Hill of Lancaster, California and John Charles Hill of Corpus Christi, Texas; sisters, Mary Clark and her husband, Rick, of Round Rock, Texas and Laura Castleman and her husband mark of Austin, Texas; parents: Charles Leland and Gayle Hill of Austin, Texas. He was preceded in death by daughter, Christiana Marie Hill. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Mowery Funeral Service, Owasso. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm., Thursday, February 9, 2012 at St. Therese Catholic Church, Collinsville. The funeral mass is at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 10, 2012, also at St. Therese Church with interment following at St. Therese Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Doug's honor to the Douglas Hill Memorial Fund, c/o RCB Bank, 12200 East 96th Street North, Owasso, OK 74055 or any RCB bank location. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
