BETHUNE - Viva Price Ammons, age 77, passed away February 5 at her residence after a courageous battle with MS. Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 pm at the Bethune Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home, Hartsville. Dr. James Jordan will officiate. Visitation will be Monday 5-7 pm at the Funeral Home. Mrs. Ammons was born in Lee County a daughter of the late Willie K. & Rosa Truesdale Price. In addition to her love and devotion to her husband of 59 years, she loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren unconditionally. She was a member of the Bethune Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Lawrence Gordon Ammons, Sr., Bethune; two daughters, Connie (George) Poff, Hiawassee, GA, Carol (Wayne) Love, Charlotte; two sons, Lawrence Gordon (Larry) Ammons, Jr. and Mark Glenn Ammons, both of Charlotte; one sister, Willene Coward, Bethune; one brother, Milton (Laurlei ) Price, Bethune; 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister and seven brothers. Special Loving Thanks to Tonya, Paige and Angela of Agape Hospice, who had become part of our family.
