Dan Pendleton, of Roanoke, passed away early on Friday, January 27, 2012, when his heart gave out and he died leaving behind a loving wife, Tamara Millar-Pendleton. Tamara steadfastly and faithfully helped him through a difficult illness, treatments and recoveries over the past couple of years. He was the love of her life. He is also survived by his sister, Susie Hall, husband, Ken, and their children, Wendy and Wesley Hall; and numerous close friends. Dan was preceded in death by his father and mother, Guy and Libby Pendleton. Music was always the mainstay in Dan's Life. He played in various bands early on and was always thinking of ways for friends to get together to "Jam." His other interests were his friends and his love of cars. He worked for years as a mechanic and then returned to school to become a computer technician working for Allstate the last 11 years. Dan always met life on his own terms never marching to anyone else's drum. If there is a band in Heaven a friend "posted" that he would be Rockin' on. So Dan, continue on in your journey with blessings and love from us all. An informal Celebration of Dan's Life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2012, at Cave Spring United Methodist Church in the court yard. Please come as you are with a story to share. Dan would have wanted it that way. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to your favorite charity . Arrangements by Oakey's South Chapel.
