Mrs. Clara D. Finan, 81, died early
last night at her home, 527 Washington
Street, after a brief Illness
She was taken ill Saturday night.
A life-long resident of Cumberland,
Mrs. Finan was a daughter of
the late Weyand and Anne Doerner
of this city.
She was the widow of
Joseph B. Finan, president of The
Times and Alleganian Company for
many years until his death in
They were married in 1895.
Survivors include two daughters
Miss Irene A. Finan and Miss Mary
J. Finan, both at home; a son, Rev
Gerald J. Finan, Chippewa Falls
Wis.; a sister. Miss Anna L. Doerner
also at home; a brother. Warren E
Doerner, Chambersburg, Pa., and a
number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Flnan was a member of SS
Peter and Paul Catholic Church
The body is at the residence. A
funeral mass will be held Thursday
morning at 9 o'clock at SS. Peter
and Paul Church with interment
in the church cemetery.
