Edward "Ed" L. Farrier, 71, of Dunbar, died Aug. 29, 2010, at home. He was born Dec. 28, 1938, in Uniontown, son of the late James Farrier and the late Margaret Channing Farrier. He was self-employed and did home remodeling. Surviving are daughters, Shawna (Mike) Yakubec, of Smock, Kelli (Randy) Reese, of Connellsville, and Amy (Ron) Gross, of Dunbar; sisters.

Doleres (Bob) Robinson, of Masontown, and Darlene (Michael) Babyak, of Masontown; sister-in-law, Maureen Farrier, of Carmichaels; grandchildren, Tiffany (Justin) Guittap, Justin Grimm, Brooke Yakubec, Nathan Reese, Delaney Reese and Erika Gross; great-grandson, special nephew, more like a son, James (Terri) Smitley, and many other nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends. He was preceded in death by a sister, Elaine Smitley; and a brother, Robert Farrier.

Friends will be received from noon to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the BURHANS -- CROUSE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Connellsville St., Dunbar. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home with Pastor Lee Maley officiating. Graveside services will be by General George C. Marshall Amvets Post 103. Interment will follow in Mt. Auburn Cemetery.
