Lawrence Victor "Vic" Dickey, 74, of Swatara Twp. died Wednesday at home.

He retired as a machinist from the Steelton Plant of Bethlehem Steel Corp.; was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II; co-founder of the Lawnton Athletic Association and a member of the Lawnton Hall of Fame; a member of the Capital Area Chapter, Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame; had been a Lawnton Midget Baseball and Harrisburg Businessmen's Softball League coach; and founded the Harrisburg Chapter, Softball Umpires Association.

He was a member and past president of the Home Association of Lawnton American Legion Post 998; a member of St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, Swatara Twp., where he was a eucharistic minister and a past president of the Holy Name Society; and a member of the Swatara High School Alumni Association and Steelton Steelworkers Union Local 1688.

Surviving are his wife, Edith M. Dickey.
