Mr. Arnold, the son of George and Catherine Arnold, was born in Glencoe township, Buffalo county Sep. 6, 1861. He died Tuesday April 17 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Iona Piringer.

He was married to Josephine Hensel May 10, 1888.

After farming for 10 years they moved to this city where they lived until a year ago when, due to failing health, they went to St. Paul to live with their daughters. Mr. Arnold suffered a heart attack last August and since then he had been in poor health.

Surviving are his widow and eight children: Mrs. Charles (Myrtle) Glutz, Mrs. A. (Iona) Piringer, St. Paul; Mrs. E. (Mildred) Knoch, South St. Paul; Mrs. Dillie Anderson, Milwaukee; Mrs. N. J. (Pearl) Breigenzer, Proctor, Minn.; and three sons, Earl of La Cross, LeRoy and Merwin of Arcadia. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Henry of St. Paul and Herman of Mankato, MN.

Additionally, Adam Arnold's parents were, George Arnold who married Catherine Ziegler. The spelling of one daughter was Ione not Iona.
