I didn't ask for her yet, she became a major part of my life. I inherited Hannah from my brother-in-law. Hannah was a jackahuahua, jack russell and chihuahua mix. Twelve pounds of excitement, loved everyone and would talk you ear off if you let her.

Hannah loved to ride in the car and especially enjoyed trips to McDonald's for a hamburger or Sonic for a soft serve ice cream cone.

She was a very loyal companion, spending lots of hours beside me keeping me company as I dealt with issues of lupus as well as other illnesses. On days that kept me in bed most of the time, she was right there with me, often sleeping like a person, on her back, cover pulled up to mid chest. She took good care of me, listened to me as I talked about different problems and was quick to lick away tears that I cried while in pain or sadness.

Hannah loved water, often slipped away to the neighbors pond to take a dip to cool off.

We often had conversations where she would talk back to me and hated for me to be on the phone for very long. She wanted my attention even if it was to rub her tummy and hated to share me with others

On Jan. 27th, the day after my birthday, Hannah slipped off on one of her excursions. She was hit by a car and thankfully it looked like she did not suffer during her last minutes.

A part of me died that day, a huge part of my heart is broken. She is buried where I can look out the window and see her grave site. She is gone but, I will never forget Miss Hannah Banana. She was my baby, she was my best friend.
