JACKSONVILLE NC - Virginia Aileene Jones Flud, 79, of Jacksonville, died Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville Chapel. Burial will follow at Onslow Memorial Park. Mrs. Flud was the executive secretary for Atlantic Construction Company. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garland E. Flud. Survivors include her daughter, Katherine Flud Hale and her husband, Randy Hale of Friendswood, Texas; son, Garland E. Flud, Jr. and his wife, Wanda Humphrey Flud of Jacksonville; one brother, Allen Jones of Jacksonville, Fla.; and five grandchildren, Matthew Hale, Marcus Hale, Christopher Flud, Jason Flud and Austin Flud.
