DENNIS -- Frances E (Spare) LAMBTON, 88, of South Dennis, formerly of Worcester, died Sunday, Nov 18, in Epoch Senior Health Care, Brewster. Her husband of 44 years, J Edward LAMBTON, died in 1982.
She leaves a son, Edward LAMBTON of Dennis; three daughters, Ann Aboody and Mary F LAMBTON, both of South Dennis, and Gail Mahoney of Worcester; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces.
She was born, raised and educated in Montreal, daughter of George and Murial (Proud) Spare, and lived in Worcester from 1964 until moving to South Dennis in 1969. Mrs LAMBTON volunteered at the Dennis Senior Center. In Montreal, she was a member of the Ladies Guild of St Monica's Church. She enjoyed reading and music.
The funeral will be held at 11 am Saturday, Nov 24, from Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 729 Route 134, South Dennis, with a Mass at noon in Our Lady of the Cape Church, Stoney Brook Road, Brewster. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, South Dennis. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Friday, Nov 23, in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to The Family Pantry, PO Box 234, West Harwich, MA 02671; or to Dennis Public Library Memorial Fund, 673 Route 28, Dennis Port, MA 02639.
