Word has been received here of the death of Mrs. Kittie N. Briscoe, 78, daughter of Theodore and Julia Stone, early pioneers of this district, on Jan. 9, 1960, at the home of her son in Penn. Mrs. Briscoe was born in Iowa in 1882 and came west with her parents as a young girl. She graduated from Montesano High School in 1900. In 1904 she married John A. Briscoe and they made their home here until the time of his death. Since then she has made her home with various relatives. She was survived locally by her son, Gordon Briscoe, Montesano, and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
