Lloyd Hugill Luce, 94, of Galva died Monday, June 3, 1996, at the Good Samaritan Home in Holstein, Iowa.
Mr. Luce was born on January 23, 1902, in James, Iowa, the son of Harry and Emma (Brill) Luce. He received his schooling in the Sioux City schools. He then worked for a number of drug stores in the area.
In 1920 he married Mary E Sweeney of Sioux City.
He worked for as a salesman for McKesson & Robbins of Sioux City until his retirement in 1955. Mrs. Luce died in 1955 and he made his home with his sister in Leeds for a short time.
On October 12, 1965, he married Paula Kaskey of Galva. After his retirement, they spent 10 winters in the Rio Grande Valley in Texas. In 1985 he lost his eyesight and in November 1993 he entered the Good Samaritan Center.
Mr. Luce was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by a son William, a grandson, David and two brothers and two sisters.
