William Betz died in Donalson, Schuylkill Co., PA at the home of his daughter, Agnes Susan Betz Rose, Aug.8, 1918. He was the son of Benjamin Betz who was born ca 1815 and died in 1854. His mother, Elizabeth nee Strasser, was born ca 1817. Both resided in Berks County, PA. He had married Mary Ann Evans Kehler, a woman who already had several children. She was born Oct.15, 1848 and died Apr 7,1908 in Tremont, Schuylkill Co., PA. In addition to his daughter, he had a son, Samuel Clarence Betz, born Nov. 28, 1890 and died April 10,1914 at the age of 23 years old.
