Della J. "Nick" Adams, 86, of Unity Township, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2011, in Excela Health Latrobe Hospital. She was born June 3, 1924, in Whitney, a daughter of the late Sidman E. and Mary E. (Musick) Hughes. She was a lifetime member of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, Youngstown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Adams; five sisters, Gladys Hughes, Edna Miller, Nellie Casteel, Beulah Webb and Mary Stairs; and two brothers, Abraham E. and W. Glenn "Buck" Hughes.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the GAUT-BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 2072 Route 130, Pleasant Unity. A prayer will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday in the funeral home, followed by funeral services to be held at 1 p.m. in St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dr. David P. von Schlichten officiating. Interment will follow in St. James Lutheran Cemetery, Unity Township.
