Betty Mabel Church, 72, of Washington, died on Sunday, July 31, 2011, in the Washington Hospital, after a brief illness.

She was born on May 8, 1939, in New Freeport, a daughter of Harold and Mildred Sellers Hennen.

Mrs. Church worked as an accounting clerk for Fairmont Supply for 21 years.

A 1957 graduate of Washington High School, she was a member of Avery United Methodist Church.

On October 11, 1958, she married James R. Church, who survives.

Also surviving are daughters, Cathy Hoy, of Washington, Carrie (Ross) Reed, of Prosperity and Jamie (Chuck) Anderson, of Canonsburg, 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Deceased is a sister, Florence Kay Knotts.

There will be no public visitation or services.

Burial will follow at a later date and time to be announced.
