Mrs. Ella M. Christensen, 78, died Friday at the Samaritan Nursing Home of a heart condition after an illness of about six years.
The former Ella M. Stoppel was born in Rochester Township May 25, 1883. On June 29, 1910, in Rochester, she was married to Harvey G. Christensen. He died in 1935.
Mrs. Christensen is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Lloyd Johnson of Tacoma, Wash., and three grandchildren.
She was a member of Byron Methodist Church and Rebaekah Byronia Lodge 84 of Byron.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday a Vine Funeral Home, the Rev. David Achterkirch officiating. Burial will be in Byron Cemetery. Friends may call at Vine Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today.
