Faniel, Mr. Charles Lindbergh,83, a native of Union Springs, AL passed away Jan. 22, 2012. Mr. Faniek, a longtime resident of Detroit, Michigan was also a Honorably Discharged Veteran of the United States Navy and was an alumus of Tuskegee Institute (now Tuskegee University), class of 1953.

The home going celebration will be held Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012 at 11 a.m from the sanctuary of the Mt. Azure Missionary Baptist Church, Three Notch community. Words of comfort will be delivered by the pastor, Rev. Bruce Burks. Interment with militaty honors will follow in the Perote Cemetery.

Loving survivors include his wife, Sara Ella; 3 daughters, Jocelyn, Gina and Cheryl; aunt, Rochelle Smith; brother, Thomas DeWitt Faniel; grandchildren; great-grandsons; adopted daughter and granddaughter, Jerilyn and Loretta McLehan; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The staff of Carter Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of the late Charles Lindbergh Faniel.
