She was a member of Keiser First Baptist Church. She worked as a beautician for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William "Cooper" and Pearlie Ferguson; husband, Carl Achens; son, William Cecil Ward; and two granddaughters.
Survivors include daughters, Shirley Wallace of Casa Grande, Ariz., and Glenda Sims of Keiser; brother, Michael Ward of Wentzville, Mo.; sisters, Daisy Kube of Hartselle, Ala., Imogene Sharp of Etowah and Emily "Earlene" Johnson of Osceola; 15 grandchildren; and a host of great- and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were at the Murphy Funeral Home in Lepanto. Burial was in Potter Memorial Cemetery.
