Mr. Presley Holman Bradshaw, 101 and Mrs. Ethel Oller Bradshaw, 99 both passed away peacefully at Meadowview Health and Rehabilitation Center after 73 years of marriage. Presley died several hours before midnight on Monday, Jan 23rd and Ethel followed her husband four hours later on Tuesday, Jan 24th.

Four years ago, Ethel, who was suffering from dementia, moved to the Meadowview nursing home - but her husband was never far away. 'He would come several times a week to visit and just hold her hand, kiss all over her, tell her how much he loved her and missed her,' said Shannon Bass from the center. Two years later, Presley joined his wife at the home. 'Every time you passed them, they would be sitting together. He would stop you and say: "Have you met my blushing bride?"' remembered Bass. When Presley died the Staff believes that Ethel was aware her husband had gone.

Presley was born October 23, 1910 in Franklin, Kentucky, son of the late Arthur Blan and Nannie Holman Bradshaw. He retired from International Harvester after 30 years of service.

Ethel was born August 17, 1912 in Fordsville, Kentucky, daughter of the late L.V. and Lucia Tucker Oller. She was a homemaker, an accomplished seamstress and also retired from The Singer Company.

They were longtime members of Lyndon Baptist Church and he was a member of the Lyndon Masonic Lodge.

They were united in marriage on October 21, 1938 in Somerset, Kentucky.

They leave to cherish their memory, one daughter, Lucia Bryant and husband James R.; one granddaughter, Melissa Wilhelm and husband Eric; two great-granddaughters, Kathryn and Megan Wilhelm as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

They will be remembered in a Celebration of Life service at 12:00 PM on Friday, January 27, 2012 in the Chapel of Arch L. Heady and Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Road. Visitation will be from 4 – 8 PM on Thursday and from 10:00 AM until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
