Sarah Isabelle Born of Lancaster, TX was born September 23, 1923 in Marshall, TX to Edmond Sanders & Lucile (Latimer) Daniel. She passed away January 22, 2012. Sarah was preceded in death by parents; brothers Edmond & Clifton Daniel; sister Cecil Ledbetter; grandson Shane Cabaniss. She is survived by husband Comer R. Born; daughters Bonita Cabaniss & husband Timothy, Lucile Rhodes & husband William; sister Lucy Ricker; grandchildren Johnathan Rhodes, Justin Rhodes, Sarah Rhodes Smith; great grandchildren Lark Rhodes, Brinn Rhodes, Jake Rhodes; several nieces & nephews.


Sarah taught in Lancaster schools from 1952-1976. She established the art program for Lancaster High School and pioneered the home economics program for Lancaster Junior High. She also taught seventh grade science and language arts. Upon her retirement, she was presented a plaque for "distinguished and unselfish service to the students and personnel of Lancaster Schools".
