Beckie's Father: Izrael (Desendorf) Schuce
Izrael took the last name of his second wife. Izrael had brought his daughters, Beckie and Manya, to the US and returned to be with his wife. He was never heard from again. "A friend of mine is visiting Washington DC and went to the holocaust museum/memorial. She looked up Nana's father, and found his name, Izrael Schuce, listed in a registry of Lwow cemetery records, died in early November 1941. I looked up the history of Lwow during the war, and found out that the Germans killed elderly and sick Jews who were walking into the new ghetto on Novermber 8, 1941. This is the only concrete record I've ever had about him."
