Died Thursday, Dec. 12, 1974, at 3:30 p.m. at her residence in Gonzales. She was 66 and a native of St. Amant. Body at Rabenhorst Funeral Home after 8 a.m. Saturday. Religious services at the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m. Saturday. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by her husband, Tanner L. Abney, Gonzales; a daughter, Mrs. Catherine Landry, Baton Rouge; a son, James Earl Bourgeois Sr., Baton Rouge; a brother, Roy Sheets, Gonzales; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Sheets, and three brothers, Bentley, Elmo and Leonce Sheets and a grandson, Howard Dennis Landry.
