Loretta Lofgren

Loretta Lofgren passed away peacefully with family members on January 17, 2012. She was 101 years young. She suffered a stroke on Jan. 10 2012 and developed complications.
Known for her pleasant smile, positive attitude and active lifestyle, she had many experiences over her lifetime and loved to tell stories about it. Born in 1910 on a farm in South Dakota she was the only daughter of a family of eight. Raised on a farm in South Dakota and married Clarence Lofgren in 1930. Together they farmed and had three children.
After quitting farming and trying several occupations they settled in Golden Colorado for 20 years. They moved to Folsom California in 1978. Clarence passed away in 1986 and Loretta continued to manage the apartments until 2004 when a hip replacement forced her to retire to Placerville Eskaton where she actively participated in the activities there.
She was preceded in death by husband Clarence, grandchild Dwayne Lofgren, and great grandchild Angela Lynde.
She is survived by her brother Burt Dutcher (Grace) three children Norma (Max) Brown, Jerry (Ann) Lofgren and Doug (Susan) Lofgren, 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Jan 29, 2012 at El Dorado Community Church in El Dorado at 3pm with a reception to follow in the church hall. Donations to the Loretta Lofgren Memorial may be sent to P.O. Box 832 El Dorado, Ca. 95623.
