William Carroll Dies at Anderson
William Carroll, a former barber in Wilkinson, and Shirley, passed away Tuesday morning at the St. John's hospital in Anderson. He was the son of Mrs. Lavina Carroll, of Charlottesville and was 78 years old. The funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Condo and Son Mortuary in Wilkinson. Burial was made in Glen Cove cemetery. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Mary Dugan, of Portland; Mrs. Hazel May, of Anderson; Mrs. Louis Goudy, of Shirley, and Mrs. Bery Edmundson, of Indianapolis, and one brother, Bert Carroll, of California. His wife, Mrs. Monte Newby Carroll, formerly of this city passed away in 1943.
