A son of Monroe and Victoria (Wimmer) Bias, Orville married Delia Schockey. He was father of at least one son, Joseph Leroy Bias, and grandfather of Robert Orville Bias. His obituary follows:

"O. M. Bias, 52, prominent Ross Township farmer, living near Millville, died suddenly of heart disease at his home late yesterday afternoon. He leaves his widow, Delia, his mother, Victoria Bias of College Corner, two brothers and a sister.

"The funeral will be held at the Methodist Church in College Corner Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock."
