Marshall Bowden (M.B.) Anthony, 56, of Ashland, died April 19, 2006 at Methodist Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. He was Pentecostal and a roofer.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on April 23 at Ashland Baptist Church. Burial was in Ashland Cemetery. Bro. Roger Wilbanks officiated. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his wife, Sissy Wilbanks; two sons, Michael Anthony of Ripley, Brandon Wilbanks of Walnut; a daughter, Penny Anthony of Ripley; a brother, Pete Anthony of Memphis, Tenn.; six sisters, Peggy Burks of Ripley, Carleen Bates of Ashland, Mary Anthony of Ashland, Jessie Frayser of Potts Camp, Hazel Miller of Ashland, Tonie Ann Rayburn of Ripley; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a stepson, Johnny H. Wilbanks; and two sisters, Willie Mae Holmes and Wanda Kay Anthony.
