Marjorie "Midge" Alfafara, 72, Ozark, died Friday, July 11, 1997, in Cox Medical Center South. She was born September 8, 1924, in Janesville, Wisconsin, and was the daughter of James Isaac and Pearl (Mathews) Mounts. On September 4, 1954, she married Gerald Joseph Alfafara. They lived in California for many years, and had moved to Ozark from Sun City, Arizona. Mrs. Alfafara was a jewelry buyer, and had been a clothing model in her younger years. She attended Second Baptist Church, Springfield. Preceding her in death were her parents, an infant twin brother, and a brother, Anthony Mounts. Survivors include: her husband, Gerald Alfafara, Sr.; a daughter, Jeri Anghel and her husband, Luca, Ozark; two sons, Gerald Alfafara, Jr., Buena Park, California, and Mark Huxley and his wife, Jennifer, Springfield; nine brothers and sisters, Juanita Garrett, Beloit, Wisconsin, Mildred Nash, New Hampshire, James Mounts, Buena Park, California, Michael Mounts, Fort Wayne, Indiana, Thomas Mounts, Wisconsin, Mary Kenlein, Tustin, California, Penny McGee, Dana Point, California, Martha Hargas, Reseda, California, and Vincent Mounts, North Hollywood, California; eleven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were Tuesday, July 15, 1997, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Rev. Leon Riddle officiating. Burial was in Selmore Cemetery. A prayer service was Monday in the funeral home, with Father Frank Palermo officiating.
