Rilla was the daughter of Millard F. Johnson and Zelda Rutledge. Her name Zerilda is shown only on the 1900 census; in all other documents, she is called "Rilla." She married 1) John Morris Ames (his name is taken from the death certificate of their son Alfred Calvin Ames) and 2) Wyatt/Wash E. Walton.
