Victor F Dumbeck, of Sault Ste. Marie, MI passed away Jun 17, 2009 at War Memorial Hospital.
Victor was born in Stalwart, MI on Oct 27, 1920, the son of the late Edward and Mary (Belinski) Dumbeck. He served his country during World War II in the Army Air Corps. He was stationed in Italy and worked as a driver and in the aircraft parts depot. He married Estelle Stachowicz in Hamtramck, MI. Victor worked as a painter and was proud that he helped paint the Mackinac Bridge. Later he worked in maintenance at Central Savings Bank. He enjoyed gardening and was an avid bird watcher.
Victor is survived by two children: Vern (Marcia Dragiewicz) Dumbeck of Dexter, MI and Marcia (Ivan) Clow of Sault Ste. Marie, MI; five grandchildren: Kristin (Brian) Earl, Todd (Jodi) Dumbeck, Jim (Stacy) Clow, Daniel (Katie) Clow, and Steven (Debbie Sarrala) Clow; and two great grandchildren: Evan Kyle and Griffin Clow (one more great grandchild is due in August). He is also survived by two sisters: Celia Warner of Raber, MI and Mary Clark of Dafter, MI; a brother: Vernon (Carolyn) Dumback of Bruce Twp, MI, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife: Estelle Dumbeck; and four brothers: Alex, Edward, Peter, and Albert Dumbeck.
